How often should I visit the dentist?

Ideally, you and your children should visit a dentist at least twice each year for a checkup and cleaning, as these appointments will go a long way in preventing the most common dental issues. It’s also wise to schedule an appointment right away if someone experiences out-of-the-ordinary symptoms, like dental pain, sensitivity, or an injury to the teeth.

Should I use a manual or electric toothbrush?

Basically, both toothbrushes are fine as long as you brush for two minutes twice each day. Electric brushes have been shown to remove more plaque in studies because they move faster than what a human can replicate, plus they are great for small children and people with mobility issues. But, if you have good oral health with a manual brush, then there is no need to switch.

Is flossing really that important?

Despite the slew of news stories that came out a few years ago, flossing is an absolutely ESSENTIAL part of daily oral hygiene. It’s able to clean parts of the teeth that a toothbrush just can’t reach, which drastically lowers someone's risk of tooth decay, tooth loss, and even something as simple as bad breath.

How long will it take to fix my tooth?

It really depends on the degree of damage. Minor decay or a small chip can usually be repaired with a tooth-colored filling in a single appointment. But, for a large cavity or cracked tooth, you may require a crown, which takes at least two appointments to design and place.

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Our dental office will submit claims to your dental insurance provider to help you save as much as possible with your benefits, but it’s important to note that we are not in-network with any plans. To learn more about how you can use your coverage with us, give us a call today.

Can I finance my dental care?

Yes! With CareCredit, you have the option to break up the cost of a treatment into monthly installments that suit your budget, usually with little to no interest. You can sign up for a plan today by visiting our New Dental Patients page.
